DECEMBER 2013:  YOU FOUND ME!!! This is my little home on the internet. You can find out everything about me here, just follow the buttons just below my name and picture at the top.

With the weather now changing to winter, most of you are probably home all nice and warm just like me. I guess this a good time to have some hot cocoa and to recap 2013:
* in May, the comic debuted at The Cincinnati Public Library Comic Con and a few area stores the same weekend as Free Comic Book Day.
* went to the Kids Read Comics! Con in Ann Arbor, Michigan. My first road trip!
* issue #2 debuted in September.
* visited the Cincinnati Comic Expo in September. My first time ever being at a large comic con. Wow, there was a lot of neat people to see!
* I got my own e-mail and website in December - now I'm an official superhero!
* my comic is now in 13 stores - 3 of the stores are not even near Cincinnati.

Big things are already in the works for 2017.  This website and my logo are going to be revised.  My creator should be making his first appearance at a comic-con - possibly two!  The Cincinnati Library is restructuring their Annual Comic Con - stay tuned for their announcements.  My creator will make an appearance at a shop on Free Comic Book Day.  The comic will grow to 16 pages, starting with issue #16 (that seemed appropriate).   And one other big thing - you'll just have to stay tuned for that one.  Let's just say it is colorful!

FEBRUARY 2017: Issue #14 is finally done.  Most stores will have it on Valentine's Day, the 14th of this month, the 14th issue of Cincignat; how appropriate!

Come visit me at my first con appearance!

Stay tuned for the next issue; we are expanding to 16 pages!

June 2017: I have two quick major announcements and they are both happening this month.  I am honored to be invited to this year's Ann Arbor Comic Arts Festival.  I have been going as a fan every year since 2012, and now I am a guest.  Come meet me and Cristian Spicer (creator of "Da Cat") at this amazing event.  Just check out the lineup of all the other amazing creators of kid's comics & graphic novels; some of the BIGGEST names in the industry will be there.

And issue #16 is already printed & ready to go - expanded to 16 pages including a 3 page story of "Da Cat".  But there is only one way to see it early, and that is by going to Ann Arbor and join us at the Comics Art Festival.  Otherwise, the rest of you have to wait until the regular release date in August.
                                                <pic of A2CAF 2017 banner>

August 2017: Expect to see the newest issue #16 at stores in the next couple of weeks; some shops already have it.  We are hoping you will like the new expansion - 16 pages!  And the beginning storyline of "Da Cat" by Cristian Spicer - an enticing story that we just can't wait to see what happens next!  Cristian's work was a big hit at A2CAF this year in Michigan.

Our friends at Pique gallery in Covington, Kentucky are having an exciting exhibit coming up next month.  If you are a comic fan, this is going to be a must-see spectacular.  Details can be found on their website: https://www.piquewebsite.com/.  Also in September is the Cincinnati Comic Expo - the local big comic con.  You need to check out both of these events, as you never know where Cincignat may just show up (wink, wink).

October 2017:  Last month was such a big month that I am shocked that October is even bigger.  The next issue #17 will be out for Halloween Comic Fest on Saturday, October 28th at the usual stores that carry my comic.  It is a neat little event, and you will have your chance of picking up some other FREE goodies.  Check your local retailer.

If you can't wait until then, local residents can get a copy at the Latonia Halloween Block Party on Saturday October 21st.  A limited amount of copies will be given away.

And now you can follow me on Instagram.  To entice people to follow me on Instagram or Facebook, I will be giving away, via social media, a copy of Justice League America #1 2017 with a special limited cover sketch just in time for the new movie.  If you are not the social media type and still want a chance to get one, you can head over to Rockin Rooster' or Queen City Comics (Montgomery Road) as each will have one as well.  See those respective retailers for more details.  CONTEST rules available, contact me for more info.

February 2018:  I hope everyone is having a wonderful winter season.  Boy, that flu 'bug' was pretty bad this time.  Sounds like a great idea for an upcoming issue.

The latest issue #18 is finally out.  And guess what?  It was done digitally!  By doing that, Cincignat has more of a chance to grow.  And with having my 5th anniversary in May, the comic will continue to get better and better!

May 2018:  IT'S MY BIRTHDAY AND I'M GIVING OUT PRESENTS!!!
Pick up the newest issue #19 on Free Comic Book Day and if you live in The Greater Cincinnati area, you have a chance to get a present: a FREE bus pass!  That's correct: it will be either a $10 Metro pass or a 10-ride Tank local pass (valued at $13.50).  30 bus passes are randomly inserted in copies of the new issue; see comic for details.

Also come visit me on my birthday at Rockin' Rooster Comics & Games in the West side of Cincinnati on Saturday May 5th, Free Comic Book Day.  Pick up the new issue & surprises as well as other great stuff filled in the store.

See you back in August, and look for announcements & updates via social media about a comic workshop being held at one of the libraries in Cincinnati by my creator Kevin Marion.

November 2018:  The holiday season is upon us!

So sorry for the delay with the new issue, but it is in stores now.  I did not get a chance to participate in Halloween Comic Fest, but will continue to promote & participate in that event next year & thereafter.  I did participate as usual in the Latonia Halloween Block Party on October 20th this year.  As always, so many family & friends came to visit, with the first few hundred kids getting a Cincignat comic at the candy line.  I am sure the parents & guardians prefer that over all that sugary sweets.

What does 2019 have in store for Cincignat?  Well, I will be making 3-5 official appearances and a push to promote my milestone issue, #25!  Also expect to see some other comic related material from my creator, Kevin Marion, in the form of painted covers & buttons.

Spring 2019:  The Year of Milestones and Anniversaries!

This is already a big year and we've just got started.  Too many things to list so I gotta be brief:

• Long time friends, Shake It Records, are celebrating their 20th year.
•The Cincinnati Reds are celebrating 150 years of baseball and 100 years of their opening day parade.  I'll be wearing my "red" this year for sure!
• I will be making my first appearance this year at S.P.A.C.E. Comics Expo on April 27 & 28th; they are also celebrating with their 20th show.
•The Recycled Comics project is up and going; exclusive products (such as buttons, painted comics, jewelry, etc.) will be available only at appearances.
• Free Comic Book Day (FCBD) will soon be here.  Come visit me again at Rockin' Rooster Comics & Games on Saturday May 4th with new exclusive items.
• Issue #22 is now out and #23 will conclude this 2-part story on FCBD.
• And finally, CinciGnat hits the milestone of #25 this year, and you'll need "glasses" to enjoy the special edition!    <pic of 3D glasses>

Fall 2019:  Continuing The Year of Milestones and Anniversaries!

Congrats to our very own Cincinnati Museum Center and University of Cincinnati.  Both are celebrating their 200th anniversaries respectively.  Check out their websites and social media for upcoming celebration events.

Issue #24 is finally done (sorry for the delay).  It is brought to you by 24 Hour Comics Day - an annual event to get a full comic completed in 24 hours.  As a special treat, this issue contains a challenge to find 12 references for the number 24, which are hidden one per comic storyline page.  Let me know your answers and I might send you a special reward!  Also, cut out the bonus trading card of a famous basketball player found inside the comic.

You can pick up issue #24 at The Annual Halloween Block Party in Latonia, Kentucky from 2:00-5:00pm on Saturday October 19, 2019 or on Halloween Comic Fest at local participating locations on Saturday October 26, 2019.

Issue #25 is taking a bit longer to do, but it is going to be worth your wait, as a limited amount of them will be produced in semi-color in anaglyph 3D.  Keep checking this website or my social media for updates.

Spring 2020:  Wishing everyone a safe and healthy season in these uncertain times.  Let's all have a great time once this virus scare is over.  In the meantime, check out the "virus" issues for FREE online by selecting the new "Digital Comics" section.  Until then, this website is quarantined (unless you clean your screen, keyboard and/or mouse).

<pic of yellow warning sign of person with facemask>

Winter 2020/2021:  Hoping everyone is doing well and staying healthy.  We all know how tough a year it was - the only comic-related thing done all year was my creator Kevin Marion doing the S.P.A.C.E. Minicomics Day online event on September 19th, 2020.  I never expected so much to prevent new CinciGnat stories.

However, those days should finally be behind me and the milestone issue #25 is in the works.  And a limited amount of them will be presented in stunning anaglyph 3D!                And starting with all issues after that, each issue will have flip-covers featuring CinciGnat drawn as you have never seen him before ... by some of the greatest artists in the industry!  I have been building up this collection for years now, with only a select few even getting a glimpse, and I think now is the time to show the love.  I reached out to some of the biggest names in the industry, some of the local talent and some you may have never even thought of (hee hee).  I am still building this collection, so get the word out there for me - I would love to hear back from the great talent out there!

I have a quick contest on social media, so check it out and hopefully you can win a limited edition holiday card mailed to you.

Spring & Summer 2021:
Since Free Comic Book Day has been postponed until August 14th, the next issue #26 will be out in June.  And just in time, as our area welcomes back some old friends from 17 years ago ...Milestone issue #25 is now printed and on its way to the stores.  To celebrate, a limited amount are being printed in anaglyph 3D.  Keep checking the STORE for availability.

Now that things are starting to be normal (that can't be, maybe we'll just say non-quarantined), some upcoming events to come see my creator, Kevin Marion: S.P.A.C.E. virtual show on July 10 & 11 and the S.P.A.C.E. physical show (Columbus, Ohio) on November 6 & 7.See you again in May, for FREE COMIC BOOK DAY.  Please stay safe & healthy too - reading comics never hurt anyone!

Winter & Spring 2022:  If you are here for the first time, welcome!  I hope you enjoy my adventures of being a small city do-gooder and enjoy the comedy that ensues.  If you are looking to get the FREE printed comic, head to the STORE to order - it is still free.  And do not forget your CODE, as found in one of my new nationwide advertisements.

UPDATE: Hopefully all of you are doing well.  2021 was slow but still eventful.  A great milestone was reached with issue #25 being in optional anaglyph 3D, a national advertising campaign was used to promote my mini-comic, the cicadas returned to our city by the millions, I finally released an old video I created of the first CinciGnat comic presented in a silent-film style: THE LIBRARY ISSUE , I participated in an online sketch event as part of the S.P.A.C.E. 2021 programming, August was the revised date for Free Comic Book Day which saw the debut of issue #26, the Latonia Halloween Block Party in Kentucky saw trick-or-treaters getting a CinciGnat mini comic, and my annual winter holiday card giveaway was a big success.

So have you checked out the new issue?  You need to, as from now on, each issue will feature two separate guest artists with their CinciGnat renditions on a flip cover.  Some major surprises on whose artwork you will soon see - issue #26 is practically SOLD OUT!

Next issue is due out in just a couple of months, see you then.  Stay safe & healthy!

Fall 2022 & Winter 2022/2023:  I finally have been leaving the lair and spreading the CinciGnat word to all.  I have connected with some new friends and now have my comic at more locations (just check out the "Where to get it" tab up top).
UPDATE: December 10, 2022 come see me at Louisvillecon in Kentucky.  Get your holiday gifts from many independent creators & small-business dealers. My creator, Kevin Marion, is also making some appearances in Kentucky during the month of October 2022:  Latonia Halloween Block Party on October 15 and Etowncon on October 29.  Check my social media for more details as those dates approach.Issue #27 is getting some rave reviews: it is all based on the old novelty song "The Cockroach That Ate Cincinnati".  Some shops even had it for Free Comic Book Day 2022.  Issue #28 is expected to be out soon!I apologize about not making the wonderful con S.P.A.C.E. in May 2022 - unforeseen circumstances prevented me from attending.  I do plan to return there in 2023.
